Radharc an Chuain Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht overlooking the beautiful bay between Maumeen and Tiernee. This is an Irish speaking, family run business providing all the amenities required for a stay in this unique location. Geroldine and John offer a range of activities along with the personal services of a quality Bed & Breakfast. This is an island location, connected to the mainland by stone bridges fashioned from local stone and keeping with the rows of Connemara stone walls. Quiet, beautiful, rugged and remote, but accessable and homely.

Authors Comments: Geroldine and John are a very welcoming couple. They are both local people and fluent in Irish and English. I am not an Irish speaker, but I am trying. Both my hosts did enjoy passing a few words on tome and helping me complete a few sentences. John provides Boat Trips around the Islands, but one activity that interested me was a spin in his Currach to a small neighbouring island that holds a stone tower. I have yet to take up the offer, but I will, and I'll also add a paragraph on to this website in 'Mags Boreen'. Geroldine will ensure you have a pleasant stay in this beautiful house. The house itself provides stunning views over the bay and is also within walking distance of the local Public House (Tigh Hanleys). The location is perfect as the middle ground between Clifden and Galway City, both being an hour drive either way. Come here, take your time, breath the air and feel history, culture and friendliness that we are rekowned for. This place is as unique as our language.
